The Rx.com Mod Team has created this Service Play sub-forum in order to supply an area for Rx Service Play Posters to expand upon their posting topics without creating a logjam in the main forum where the three principle threads are maintained..

Posters can track services here if they care to but we will need any trackers to do so in an accurate and civil manner. We did not create this area for posters to ridicule or bash any services..

You can also discuss who is hot and who is not. The general state of the pay for plays industry and any other subject or topic related to service plays.

You can also create individual threads about specific services and discuss them freely but civilly. Again bashing and abusive treatment of any services will not be tolerated.

Please remember, this forum is not here for regular posters who cap their own games to post ther daily plays. Please use our individual sport forums to post your plays. Professional cappers (those that sell plays) must remain in the Site Promotion Forum.

The Rx.com will not tolerate posters that post false records of any services they track. Please be truthful if you decide to track a particular service.

Lastly The Rx Moderators are appealing to you our everyday posters to report any promotional threads or posts that are made by services or individual touts. No links or contact information to an individual service will be allowed. Just the name of the service. Please report any threads or posts that are promotional attempts by services and touts to use this forum to promote themselves..

Posters can easily report a promotional post by using the triangular Report-a-Post Icon at the bottom left of all post boxes. The poster name of any poster who reports a post that is out of line will be kept strictly confidential.

I will leave this thread open for a month to take questions and do my best to answer them. I will check in daily but am off on Wednesday and Thursday.

I hope this additional Service Play Forum will satisfy those posters that would like to widen the scope of topics relating to service plays and the industry in general to have their own threads. Mods will be liberal as possible regarding topics but this forum was specifically created to allow you more freedom to express your ideas regarding service plays and related subject matter. No off topic threads will be allowed.

Thank you, wilheim

Ice picks:

Friday's best NHL bets

Phoenix Coyotes at Columbus Blue Jackets (-115, 5)

It looks like Columbus has finally found a way to score goals. The team has propelled itself into the thick of the playoff hunt thanks to a reinvigorated offense that has enabled the team to win six of its past eight games. During that span, the team is averaging 3.25 goals per game.

Despite injuries to Kristian Huselius (9 goals) and Derrick Brassard (14 goals) that are expected to keep the duo out to next month, the team hasn’t missed a beat. Over its eight-game hot streak, the Jackets have been led by forwards Rick Nash (6 goals, 5 assists), Antoine Vermette (3 goals, 3 assists) and R.J. Umberger (2 goals, 7 assists).

"This is what we play for – for these games to mean this much," Nash said. "But the job isn’t done yet. We still have a lot of work to do. We still have some ground to make up. We have to keep this play up."

The Coyotes, meanwhile, saw their eight-game winning streak snapped violently with an 8-3 loss at Tampa Bay. Over the team’s past seven games, it has given up at least two goals each time out.

"You could see it, our guys just had no gas in the tank," Phoenix coach Dave Tippett said of the Tampa Bay beatdown. "That's one of those games where you just get rid of it, burn the tape, and move on."

Pick: Columbus

Minnesota Wild at Anaheim Ducks (-125, 5.5)

Ducks goalie Jonas Hiller is about as close to making a comeback as pogs. Still suffering from symptoms of vertigo and fatigue, the All-Star goalie remains on IR. Which means Anaheim will turn to…good question.

The Ducks traded horrid backup goalie Curtis McElhinney on Thursday for Dan Ellis of the Tampa Bay Lightning. McElhinney couldn’t stop a beach ball the past two weeks, getting the start in four straight losses that saw the Ducks allow a staggering 24 total goals.

The real question now: will Ellis or recent AHL call up and journeyman Ray Emery get the nod for the Ducks between the pipes? But the way the team is playing right now, it might not matter.

The Ducks' defense is in a bit of a disarray and now the offense may be missing a few beats as well. Forward Saku Koivu (13 goals, 20 assists) is doubtful with a groin injury and Ryan Getzlaf (15 goals, 32 assists) could miss the game while he deals with personal issues.

Minnesota, meanwhile, whipped the Ducks 5-1 last week and is 6-4 over its past 10 games. In those wins, the team is averaging four goals per game.

Expect it to be another four-goal night against Anaheim.

Pick: Minnesota

Pick 'n' roll:

Friday's best basketball bets

Oklahoma City Thunder at Orlando Magic (-7, 206)

Think of it as subtraction by addition for the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The team tried to get tougher and bigger when it dealt outside shooting center Nenad Krstic and forward Jeff Green to Boston for defensive monster Kendrick Perkins and guard Nate Robinson.

However, the Thunder will be without Perkins – one of the best Dwight Howard defenders in the game – as he recovers from a sprained MCL. Plus, the team won’t have Krstic or Green for this matchup in Florida. Not good if you are looking to compare performances from a 125-124 Thunder victory in Oklahoma last month.

In that meeting, Krstic had 16 points and a team-high 11 rebounds. He also was a team-best plus-12. Green had 12 points and six rebounds and banged a team-high three triples.

That’s a lot to expect reserves Nick Collison and the offensively-challenged Serge Ibaka to make up for. And it’s not like either player slowed down Howard. The center had one of his top games of the season, dunking his way to 39 points and 18 rebounds.

“We have a lot of talent, but talent will not get you a championship,” Howard said. “We’re one of the most talented teams in the NBA. We’re a deep team. We’ve got guys who can do a lot of different things. But if we don’t bring it every night, it’s a waste of talent.”

And with the Magic coming off a six-point home loss to the lowly Kings, expect Howard and Co. to definitely bring it.

Pick: Orlando

Siena Saints at Farfield Stags

This game might end up putting the scorers table to sleep.

Fairfield is one of the top defensive teams in the country. Opponents are scoring just 58.1 points per game (5th nationally), making just 39.8 percent of their field goals (27th) and nailing a meager 32.2 percent of their shots from distance (76th). Heck, the team is so physical that opponents are shooting a horrendous 63.1 percent from the foul line, where they do get an uncontested look.

Not surprisingly, the team has seen the under go 12-8 this season. Plus, the low-scoring Stags offense also should be somewhat subdued with the continued absence of forward Greg Nero. The senior is recovering from Mono and has contributed 5.5 points and 3.9 rebounds per game when healthy.

On the other bench, Siena has been greatly over valued by oddsmakers. The team has seen the under hit in 17 of 25 games and three of its past four overall.

Siena has struggled with the graduation of nearly all its star players the past two seasons and is a far cry from the perennial NCAA Tournament dark horse of the previous years.

And now the team must also deal with injuries. Key bench player Kyle Downey is averaging 6.8 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game this season but has been hobbled by a hip injury. He is questionable for Friday’s game.

If you still don’t believe, just look at the recent history between the teams: each of the past three meetings have cashed the under.

Bettors' best friend (BBF): Friday's wagering tips

Who’s hot

NHL: The Coyotes are 8-1 in their last nine overall.

NCAAB: St. Peter’s is 4-0 in its last four overall and the over is 6-0 in its last six home games.

NBA: The Blazers are 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven overall and the over is 6-1 in their last seven overall.

NBA: The under is 4-0 in the Nets’ last four overall and 10-1 in the Spurs’ last 11 home games.

Who’s not

NHL: The Thrashers are 0-7 in their last seven games against teams with losing records.

NCAAB: Columbia is 1-5 ATS in its last six overall.

NBA: The Timberwolves are 1-5 ATS in their last six overall and 0-6 ATS in their last six home games.

NBA: The Hawks are 1-5 ATS in their last six overall and 0-7 ATS in their last seven against the Western Conference.

Key stat

12 – The number of holes by which unheralded American Ben Crane has won his first two matches at the Accenture Match Play Championship. Crane has not made a bogey in two rounds (27 holes during that span) and is a total of 10-under par. He defeated Adam Scott 4 and 2 in his opener before trouncing Rory McIlroy 8 and 7 on Thursday. Crane is going up against Spain’s Miguel Angel Jiminez in third-round action on Friday.

Injuries that shouldn't be overlooked

The good news for the Indiana Pacers is that they face a Jazz team in a state of flux on Friday. Utah just shipped Deron Williams to New Jersey in exchange for Derrick Favors and Devin Harris. Favors and Harris should be in uniform, but the Jazz have to be reeling a bit from trade repercussions.

The bad news for Indiana is that it has problems of its own. Mike Dunleavy (11.2 ppg, 4.8 rpg) suffered a broken thumb during Wednesday’s win over the Wizards and is out indefinitely. T.J. Ford (5.7 ppg, 3.5 apg), who was not traded despite being the subject of many rumors, is out indefinitely with an ankle injury and will likely have his contract bought out sooner rather than later.

Biggest game on the slate

Oklahoma City Thunder at Orlando Magic (-7, 206)

Notable quotable

"We got our guy. We’re not a championship team right now. We’re not a playoff team right now. But coaches are going to lose a lot of sleep wondering how they play us at this position." – New Jersey Nets head coach Avery Johnson on his team’s point guard position after the trade with Utah for Deron Williams. The Nets visit San Antonio on Friday and should have Williams in uniform for the first time.

Tips and notes

The Atlanta Thrashers sent veteran defenseman Brent Sopel and little-used forward Nigel Dawes to Montreal on Thursday in exchange for forward Ben Maxwell and a fourth-round pick in this year’s draft. Sopel, who played for the Blackhawks last season, had two goals and five assists in 59 games with Atlanta. The Thrashers are hosting the Florida Panthers on Friday. Florida, meanwhile, waived forward Steve Bernier on Thursday and fellow forward Jack Skille is dealing with an ankle problem.

Friday’s clash between Portland and Denver features a team that just added a major puzzle piece against a team that just traded away the face of the franchise. While the Nuggets dealt Carmelo Anthony earlier in the week, the Trail Blazers acquired Gerald Wallace from Charlotte for Joel Przybilla, Dante Cunningham and two future first-round draft picks. Wallace was averaging 15.6 ppg and 8.2 rpg for the Bobcats this season. He should be in uniform on Friday, and center Marcus Camby could also return from a knee injury. Denver, in addition to dealing with a new-look team, is also playing on no day’s rest after Thursday’s showdown with Boston.

Graeme McDowell will pass Tiger Woods for the No. 3 spot in the world when the next golf rankings come out. McDowell guaranteed himself the No. 3 ranking by reaching the third round of the Accenture Match Play Championship on Thursday. The Irishman has easily disposed of Heath Slocum and Ross Fisher this week and will face Y.E. Yang on Friday. "Wow, I'm perhaps a better golfer than (Tiger) in the last 12 months but he's definitely the greatest player that's ever lived," McDowell said. "If someone told me at some point in my career I would be number three in the world, I'd be proud of that fact…. Y.E. is a solid player and has got a great short game. He's going to be a tough competitor. So I'm looking forward to the match. I haven't been playing my best but I'm still alive and kicking, so anything can happen. Hopefully my confidence will continue to grow."
